MicroProse Announces Publication of Post-Apocalyptic RTS Game, Battlefall: State of Conflict

New Multiplayer Demo Now Available on Steam

MicroProse, the legendary name behind some of the most iconic simulation and strategy titles in gaming history, is thrilled to announce the latest addition to its legendary catalog: Battlefall: State of Conflict, a fast-paced, post-apocalyptic real-time strategy (RTS) game.

Inspired by the dystopian worlds of Mad Max and TerminatorBattlefall: State of Conflict is an 80,000 work-hour passion project from independent developers Kyoto Video Game Concern. Fueled by their lifelong love of isometric RTS games and other classic genres, this developer duo has partnered with MicroProse to unleash upon a new generation of gamers the same thrilling game experiences that inspired them.

Battlefall: State of Conflict thrusts players into the battle for dominance over a world ravaged by unthinkable future-weapons.

Vie for dominance as one of three distinct factions in a wasteland teeming with danger: the militaristic Earth Forces Network (EFNET), the unpredictable Scrappers, and the ruthless SEL (Synthetic Enhanced Lifeforms). Battlefall: State of Conflict’s unique take on the RTS genre offers players limitless freedom in customizing their forces on the fly via the Battlefall Upgrade. Players will have to spend these rare rewards, earned in the crucible of battle, to explore various strategies to overcome their enemies. With endless possibilities for tactical approaches, and no building or population limits, every battle is a unique experience.

This new vertical slice and multiplayer demo together with the leaderboards are available now through Steam Next Fest October 14-21.

“MicroProse is known for delivering unforgettable strategy games, and Battlefall perfectly aligns with our mission to push the boundaries of the genre while keeping the spirit of strategy alive,” said Chris Ansell, CMO of MicroProse. “It offers a rich, immersive experience with a variety of playstyles that will appeal to both seasoned RTS veterans and new players alike.”

Game Features:

  • Three Playable Factions: Lead the formidable EFNET, the fearsome Scrappers, or the indomitable SEL, each with its own story-driven campaign.
  • No Pop-Limits: Build massive armies and outposts with endless possibilities for creative strategies.
  • Dynamic Gameplay Modes: Play through skirmishes, co-op campaigns, or craft custom maps and rules with the built-in editors.
  • Steam Workshop Integration: Share custom content, explore a universe of mods, and experience battles crafted by the community.

MicroProse, founded in 1982, has been a trailblazer in the strategy and simulation genres, with classics like CivilizationX-COMGunship, and Silent Service under its belt. Now, with Battlefall: State of Conflict, the company continues its legacy of delivering deep, engaging experiences for gamers worldwide.

Prepare for the ultimate battle for survival. Battlefall: State of Conflict is set to release later this year on PC via Steam.
